The console's phone bar behaves like an app: controls clear the housing and keep a touchable size

The NabuOS console's top bar and its threads drawer now honour the phone's safe area, the threads toggle, the auto-approve key and the drawer's close keep the 44px touch floor, and the raw ☰/✕ characters give way to the panel's own icons.

What changed

The console's top bar honours the safe area. The panel renders with viewport-fit=cover, so the page paints to the phone's physical edge — and in landscape the "Threads" toggle could slip under the housing. The bar's inline padding now floors at the device's safe-area inset, the same rule the CRM topbar has carried all along; the console was the one bar left without it.

Standard touch sizes. The "Threads" toggle, the "Auto-approve" key and the drawer's close button keep the panel's 44px (2.75rem) touch floor — below it, a thumb cannot hit the control reliably.

Icons instead of characters. The "Threads" toggle draws the panel's own menu icon instead of the raw ☰ character, the drawer's close draws the icon set's ✕, and the dock's "Menu" tab is drawn from the same icon set as the four tabs beside it.

Press feedback. These bar buttons now answer the finger with a slight scale-down while pressed — immediate press feedback through NabuXUI's motion token, and no animation at all for a reader whose OS asks for reduced motion.

The drawer clears the housing too. The threads drawer the toggle opens floors its own padding at the safe-area inset. On a desktop or a tablet without a notch nothing changes.

How to use it

  1. Open the NabuOS console on a phone (the dock's "Console" tab).

  2. The top row shows the "Threads" toggle with its menu icon, the business name and the "Auto-approve" key — all at a touchable height and clear of the edges.

  3. Tap "Threads" to open the drawer; close it with the ✕ button at the drawer's own corner.

Good to know

  • Desktop layout is untouched: these rules apply only at phone widths, and where a phone has no notch the spacing is what it always was.
  • Choosing a skin based on the device's OS (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows) already worked and has not changed here; your own pick always beats the guess.

The Desktop now works like a real one

Icons open with a double click, a right click opens a menu, a drag selects several icons, windows resize from any edge and snap to halves and quarters, and open windows sit on the taskbar or in the Dock. Each section has its own colour, and your wallpaper shows on the Desktop.
